The purpose of Resource Connections is to strengthen the Stevens County Community through non-profit cooperation.
About Resource Connections
Officially founded in 2009, Resource Connections began as an idea that came out of a group of non-profits that met for Brown Bag lunches, in the Fall of 2008. They met monthly to discuss ways to work together. A Community Conversation was sponsored by the Otto Bremer Foundation and in January of 2009 60 Stevens County community members and a facilitator who met and discussed ways to improve the quality of life in Stevens County. A summit was proposed to get all the non-profit organizations together and in September of 2009, with a grant from the Blandin Foundation, the summit was held. Three main goals were chosen by the attendees and subgroups formed, Communications, Non-Profit Expo & Economic Development.
